What to take to your test

You will need:

  • Theory certificate.

  • UK Driving License.

  • A suitable vehicle, most people use their instructors car or you can use your own if it meets the requirements.

 

What happens during the test

There are 5 parts to the driving test:

  • An eyesight check

  • "Show Me Tell Me" vehicle question

  • General driving ability

  • Reversing your vehicle

  • Independent driving

Driving test results and faults 

There are three types of faults:

  • A Dangerous Fault

  • A Serious Fault

  • A Minor Fault

You will pass your driving test if you make:

  • No more than 15 Minor Faults

  • No Serious or Dangerous Faults
